The Story Studio’s corporate workshops demystify the storytelling process and provide a forum for employees to become clear, confident, engaging communicators.

During a typical workshop, participants will learn how to strip an idea to its core, and communicate that idea in a way that is concrete and emotionally resonant.

All Story Studio corporate workshop participants will learn and practice storytelling skills that make them better communicators. Using techniques adapted from improv, classic storytelling and sketch comedy, participants learn how to craft a story that their audience will remember long after they have gone.

Why corporate workshops?

Our corporate workshops are customized to meet your company’s specific needs and preferences. In the weeks leading up to the event, our team will work with you to understand your goals and logistics. From there, we design a custom workshop that will leave your employees excited and inspired to apply their new communication skills in their work and lives.

How long do the corporate workshops run?

The length of our workshops can vary based on a client’s needs, but usually the minimum length is around 90 minutes, and the maximum is two full workdays. We’ve found that 4 hours (half a day) is the most popular for most companies, but you can let us know what fits your parameters, and we’ll adapt our workshop plan accordingly.

What are some types of workshops you’ve designed in the past?

Topics that we’ve customized in the past include, but are not limited to: classic storytelling, public speaking, improv storytelling, product launch narratives, personal anecdotes for business networking, descriptions of your company’s business model and methods for building rapport with new clients and among team members.
