Tell Better Stories.

Thank you! It was a great workshop. It was wonderful to see how everyone developed their stories. The highlight was sharing stories at the end. Oh, what great stories they told, too! I hope I can capture them on film. You were really terrific. You sensed exactly what we needed. I hope we can bring you back for more storytelling corporate workshops.

I can’t thank you enough for the amazing workshop that you ran today with the Janssen PMO (project management office) team. Your enthusiasm, practical examples and constructive critique created a safe and productive environment to learn and practice the art of storytelling. I saw amazing transformations in some of the people in the session and I think we all got to know each other on a deeper level and have a better appreciation for who we are both as people and colleagues. I have already heard from a few of the participants about how much they loved your style and the workshop and are already thinking about how they will apply their new skills to their work! I look forward to partnering with you again as I truly believe in the power of stories.

This class was truly life-changing for me. I walked into class worried that I wouldn't be able to come up with interesting stories or connect with an audience. The feedback and support I received from the instructor and my classmates was invaluable and really built up my confidence. Through this class, I've learned how to share my experiences in a powerful way that really resonates with people. What an awesome feeling!

The workshop's format of alternating between teaching and real-life practice, where we would actually tell full stories or pieces of stories to the group and receive comments and feedback was great. Practicing storytelling on the spot really drove the lessons home and allowed each of us to pick up on the most effective techniques used by each of our fellow storytellers. I would highly recommend this workshop!

Thanks for planning an “outside the box” workshop at our meeting. This is the first exercise of this kind that I’ve had at [our company] and it was a great use of our time! (Even the skeptics commented that they loved it!). It was especially timely for a group that was all so new to each other. While we knew the workshop was going to help us all improve our verbal communication skills, I think we all underestimated what a powerful team-building exercise it was going to turn out to be. Sharing our stories gave everyone a peek into their colleagues’ collective life experiences that have shaped them. It gave us all a little insight into who we all are as individuals. That knowledge of our diversity helps each one of us understand one another just a little better; understanding helps us each leverage each other’s strengths a little more effectively. Thanks again for thinking of this novel exercise! It was awesome!

This training will transform your team's ability to tell stories in their personal and professional lives

A hugely enjoyable workshop. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but left with a better understanding of how to structure a narrative, and deliver it in an engaging style. The best part was sharing our stories and learning from others in the group.

Thank you so much for being such a memorable part of The Studio event! Your workshop really set a positive tone for kicking off the courses and contributed to the overall success of the event. The small group workshops post-event kept the momentum moving forward. It gave people a little bit of time to digest the information and then come together into small groups to really hone in on the skills learned and have some fun along the way. I was able to participate in 2 out of 3 of them and loved how personable the sessions were thanks to both of you.

Cyndi and her team were outstanding partners to us in late 2019. We reached out to them to help us with a storytelling night wherein 10 founders would tell a story about failure in their lives as entrepreneurs. The Story Studio worked with each founder to craft, hone and practice their story. It was a phenomenal event that inspired everyone who attended. And the credit goes fully to The Story Studio. Can't wait to work with them again in 2020!

This program is a great addition to your presentation skill set.

The time that we spent focusing on the skill of storytelling was a great way to focus on communication skills and building a connection with an audience. Whether that audience is an audience of [an individual] or a whole group that we are presenting to, it made me focus on how to better engage during a discussion or presentation. We did have to get out of our comfort zone a bit and try something new, but in a few hours we were able to develop a skill that will be put into practice this week and that we can continue to call on time and again.

I discovered great tools to make my business presentations more engaging and memorable.
